Labrador Names

Labradors are fun and interesting dogs that come in many varieties and can be quite entertaining as pets. They are playful, fun loving, and energetic dogs, which is why they are some of the most popular pets in the United States. Because of their bright personalities, Labrador names are usually quite upbeat and often reference aspects of the personality or the color of the particular strain of Labrador. Yellow labs (also called golden retrievers), black labs, chocolate labs, and several other distinct colors strike up several popular Labrador names.

These dogs – middle to large in size – can also earn names due to their size, as well as their loping gait and their affinity for water (few other dogs love to play in the water as much as labs). Of course, in many cases, labs are chosen as pets for children because, while they enjoy play, they are extremely gentle, loyal, and tolerant. That means that, often, Labrador names are chosen by the children based on their active imaginations and what is easy to remember. The list below includes some very popular Labrador names that you can choose from or let your child choose from, in case you are having trouble deciding on a name of your own.
